separators are unique characters used to separate elements in an e-commerce doc. they can be any char not used in content of the doc, such as ~ or asterisk
~ is 7E, asterisk (*) is 2A in ASCII
For example, sysco asn uses 2A for element, component uses 40 (@), and segment uses 7E
